The profile drawing checklist.
A clear enquiry connects the finished section, the coil material and the way you plan to run production.
Define the finished section.
- W
- Effective cover width
- O
- Overall formed width
- H
- Rib height
- P
- Rib pitch
- t
- Thickness; BMT or TCT
Dimensions and mating edges
- Application: roof, wall cladding or steel deck.
- Effective cover width, overall formed width, rib height and pitch, in mm.
- Side-lap geometry, visible face and drawing revision.
- Any required tolerances, embossing or other features.
Keep input coil width separate from finished panel measurements.
Add material and production information.
| Parameter | Unit or format | What to specify |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Steel grade; coating; yield / tensile strength (MPa) | State the steel grade and coating. If available, identify yield strength and tensile strength separately, in MPa. |
| Thickness | mm; BMT or TCT | Supply a range and say whether the value includes coatings. |
| Coil | mm; metric tonnes | Feed width, inside/outside diameters and maximum coil mass. |
| Finished product | mm or m; m/shift or pieces/shift | Length range, common order lengths and output target. Give hours per shift, common cut lengths and expected coil or profile changes. |
| Operating plan | Profiles; batch sizes; changes/shift | The usual order mix and switching sequence. |
| Installation site | V / Hz / phase; m | Power supply, destination and working space including handling areas. |
If the drawing is incomplete.
Start with a section sketch, sample photographs and dimensions you know. Clearly identify missing details before a final tooling specification is agreed.
The enquiry form accepts written requirements. Mention that you have drawings so a suitable sharing method can be agreed during follow-up.
Start with your panel.
Bring the drawing, material and production requirement into one conversation.
